The Lead Specialist for Strategy will work on the organization's strategic and long-term goals, including suggestions for portfolio expansion, market presence improvement, and relationship development, among other things. In addition, the job will involve, providing support to the Management in strategic decisions related to the mines, projects, initiatives among other business areas.

The Senior Specialist will be coordinating with Mines, and Corporate Functional Department’s (FDs) regarding the preparation of annual strategy. Moreover, communicating any additional management requirements, subsequently soliciting prepared strategy, also analyzing, and ensuring compliance with strategy guidelines, as well as challenging the initiatives providing comments and feedback prior to the company’s board endorsement procedure.

Proficiency in tools such as Think-cell and MS office is a must.

**Develop and design the company's business strategy, strategic initiatives, and business plan, aligning them with the directions provided by the management.**

**Develop and implement work processes, best technical practices, governance, and controls across the Base Metal and New Minerals business.**

**Provide support to the organization during the implementation of initiatives and identify the need for process changes if required.**

**Create detailed implementation plans for achieving process excellence and monitor the deadlines for implementing the initiatives.**

**Perform economic evaluation to support fast-paced development decisions and work closely with corporate FDs.**

**Perform specific scenario planning and sensitivity studies, as directed by the management.**

**Closely work with function department teams to strategize and implement development plans.**

**Coach and mentor less experienced Saudi and effectively explain ideas, concepts, and techniques in the Mining industry.**

**Keeps abreast of industry news, technological innovation, project developments etc. and is capable of flagging new information.**

**Generate internal reports and KPIs along with ad hoc analysis as the need arises.**

**Perform conventional planning practices including researching and analysing trends.**

**Create/Maintain presentations, spreadsheets, reports, or other metric-driven tools.**

**Support forecast/planning process, including communication and training materials**
**Must have a bachelor's or higher degree (preferably Management or Accounting or Finance, or a related field).**

**Must have more than 7-9 years of experience in Business Strategy / Corporate Strategy / Business Planning. Exposure to the mining industry will be an added advantage.**

**Strong MS PowerPoint and MS Excel skills are a must.**

**Must have the ability to analyse data and present it to the Management at required platforms.**

**Knowledge of tools and research databases such as Oracle Hyperion, Think-cell, CRU and Capital IQ will be an added advantage.**

**Excellent communication skills at all levels and within different mediums.**

**Proactive and organised, with the ability to work autonomously.**

**Ability to multi-task and must be well organized; attention to detail; high level of accuracy.**

**Ability to respond sensitively and appropriately to confidential issues and information.**

**High level of accuracy, consistency and timely responses are essential
