**City Director**

As the project is currently in the development phase, a major responsibility of this role will be working with other entities within the organisation to coordinate the development of services (and the associated infrastructure / assets) from end-to-end. This individual will also be responsible for having a comprehensive view / plan of how to ensure services are ready on Day 1. These services will include city infrastructure (e.g. utilities, transport), social infrastructure (e.g., healthcare services, education services), and economic services (e.g. business licenses, labour development services).

**Key Responsibilities**:
Work closely with entities across the organisation to understand and contribute to the development of relevant services in their areas of responsibility

Collect and communicate necessarily technical inputs to support other entities in developing relevant services; act as the primary point of contact for other entities who will be delivering services to the city.

Develop and document the operating model for all services provided to residents and tenants.

Facilitate and drive integration of services as required to ensure coherent delivery that maximizes services quality and minimizes any inefficiencies or wastage.

Provide ‘hands on’ oversight of development of infrastructure and services critical to the city’s residents and businesses, and act in an approval role to ensure the build of service infrastructure meets city residents’ needs.

For services operated by the development, drive the procurement of suppliers and/or build the necessary delivery capabilities.

Coordinate day-to-day management of the City, coordinating with company Asset Management, organisation utility providers, and Authority Municipal Affairs.

Conduct research and studies to understand the needs of the company’s future residents and small business tenants

Actively develop and recommend programmes of work focused on improving customer experience, programme integration and stakeholder alignment

Track and report on delivery progress of the programme / city services, and actively manage / mitigate risks or delays as they arise

Continually improve the quality of city services by co-ordinating and co-operating with company and government stakeholders

Coordinate financial objectives between the Development Company and other stakeholders

Develop business cases and / or financial rationale for development of new or innovative services which the company wishes to develop

Build a team to deliver the necessary activities and supervise direct subordinates in their day-to-day tasks and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback and counselling

**Experience, skills & Qualifications**:
Exceptional project management skills.

Exceptional stakeholder management skills to resolve complex and sensitive problems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pragmatic, customer-focused mindset.

Experience of managing major infrastructure and/or complex transformation programmes.

Ability to creatively develop solutions in ambiguous situations.

Experience in financial planning.

10+ years’ experience in city services, civic engagement, and / or major development programs.

Ability to manage a team of 5-7 individual.
