**Position Overview**:
A Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating and managing the Scrum process within an Agile team, ensuring that the team adheres to Scrum principles, practices, and values. The Scrum Master acts as a servant leader, helping the team to remove obstacles, improve productivity, and foster a collaborative environment. This role involves close collaboration with Product Owners, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products in iterative cycles.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Facilitating Scrum Ceremonies**:

- Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure that these ceremonies are effective and focused on achieving sprint goals.

2. **Coaching and Mentoring**:

- Coach the team in Agile practices and Scrum principles, helping them to improve their processes and become more self-organizing.
- Mentor team members, Product Owners, and other stakeholders on Agile methodologies and best practices.

3. **Removing Impediments**:

- Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team’s progress, ensuring that they can work efficiently and effectively.
- Work with other teams and departments to resolve cross-functional dependencies.

4. **Supporting Product Owners**:

- Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-groomed, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints.
- Facilitate clear communication between the Product Owner and the development team.

5. **Monitoring Progress**:

- Track and report on the team’s progress, using metrics such as burn-down charts and velocity to monitor performance.
- Identify areas for improvement and work with the team to implement changes.

6. **Fostering Team Collaboration**:

- Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Encourage open communication and help to resolve conflicts within the team.

7. **Continuous Improvement**:

- Lead efforts to continuously improve the team’s processes and practices, adapting to changing needs and challenges.
- Stay informed about industry trends and Agile best practices, and bring new ideas to the team.

8.** Stakeholder Communication**:

- Serve as the point of contact for external stakeholders regarding Agile practices and the team’s progress.
- Ensure that stakeholders are kept informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.

1. **Education**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Additional training or coursework in Agile methodologies is preferred.

2. **Experience**:

- At least 3-5 years of experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role.
- Proven experience in successfully leading Agile teams and delivering projects using Scrum or other Agile frameworks.

3.** Certifications**:

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required.
- Additional certifications such as Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC) or SAFe Scrum Master are a plus.

4. **Skills**:

- **Agile Expertise**: Deep understanding of Agile principles, Scrum framework, and other Agile methodologies (e.g., Kanban, Lean).
- **Facilitation**:Strong facilitation skills with the ability to lead effective meetings and guide team discussions.
- **Problem-Solving**: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on removing obstacles and enabling the team to deliver.
- **Communication**: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- **Conflict Resolution**: Skilled in resolving conflicts and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and team dynamics, while maintaining a focus on Agile principles.

5. **Personal Attributes**:

- Strong leadership qualities with a servant-leader mindset.
- High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trust and rapport with team members.
- Passion for continuous learning and improvement, both personally and within the team.
- Resilience and patience in guiding teams through challenges and changes.

**Preferred Experience**:

- Experience in software development or technical environments.
- Familiarity with scaling Agile practices in larger organizations (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.
