**Job Title**: Data Center Mechanical Technician

**Position Reports to**: Data Center Engineer

**Location**: Tabuk, NEOM, Saudi Arabia

**SUMMARY**:Responsible for safely, efficiently, and effectively operating machinery and systems in a cost-effective manner. The Technician must ensure the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the client needs, and a commitment to achieving the goal of no downtime. Responsible for protecting and improving the value of the client assets and ensuring that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function. Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, machinery, and controls located in the interior and exterior of building. Performs tests, rounds and analyzes data to ensure the proper functioning of departmental equipment.

**PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform maintenance and operation of all mechanical building systems including mechanical (HVAC, plumbing) and temperature controls systems, critical environments, and light construction (painting, doors, and locks), and digital systems (fire alarm & access equipment).
- Strict adherence to Client established engineering guidelines, processes and procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with all external and internal customers, including Clients, Property and Project management, and Engineering staff.
- Participate in emergency response and problem management. Respond to incidents and mitigate the damage. Obtain information on the cause of the problem. Ensure that escalation is performed per the escalation plan.
- Perform preventive maintenance. Specific duties include but are not limited to: Preventive maintenance with a minimum disruption of building services and performing and/or delegating preventive maintenance tasks to the appropriately qualified maintenance staff member.
- Responsible for adhering to and implementing all facility guidelines and procedures related to his work.
- Responsible for performing daily performance monitoring of mechanical equipment during walk rounds.
- Responsible for following SOPs and EOPs during preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Responsible for executing Work Orders for minor preventive maintenance activities including non-invasive testing, Infra-Red (IR) analysis, inspections, lubrications, replacement of consumables, etc.
- Responsible for escorting Vendors always during major preventive maintenance and during reactive and corrective maintenance.
- Responsible for checking that the maintenance is performed with respect to the Method of Procedures (MOP) provided by the Vendor.
- Responsible for executing isolation, shutdown, start-up, emergency shutdown and restoration procedures of all facility equipment whenever needed.
- Responsible for responding to unplanned events and emergency scenarios, and for sustaining Data Center operations.
- Responsible for escalating emergency failures and alarms to Facility Maintenance Supervisor and Vendors.
- Report any detected malfunction or any required changes to the executed procedures.
- Responsible for requesting necessary tools and parts for Work Orders execution and for returning tools and replaced parts once the work is executed.
- Responsible for maintaining tools in good conditions.
- Responsible for proper disposal of spares and consumables as per implemented policy.
- Advise on any enhancement to be made to the current SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs through formal change request.
- Responsible for executing any required change to the facility (set point, redundancy rotation, labelling ).
- Ensure that the Change Management Process is carried out on the building’s critical infrastructure.
- Performs additional job duties as requested.

**EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE**:

- 5+ years related work experience.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
