A third-party certificate is required for lifting supervisors in Saudi Arabia. The job description of a lifting supervisor includes supervising the maintenance and operation of all lifting equipment and related accessories and loose gears used in the field and ensuring that these activities are carried out in accordance with correct procedures and required standards. TÜV SÜD offers a Lifting Supervisor Training Course that covers the duties and responsibilities of a competent person, legal provisions concerning lifting operations, effective tool box talk delivery, and effective carrying out of duties as a competent lifting supervisor with various types of cranes.
