Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior Environmental Engineer **to join our team In this role you will get to **work on one of the fastest growing projects in the Kingdom.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads the planning and initial site set-up and production of the sustainability and environmental plans, integrated with the wider engineering and logistics plans to give a city-wide approach.
- Develops standard operating procedures for sustainability and environment of the program and ensures that Contractors follow them so there is operational consistency across the program.
- Coordinates with other delivery partners (Jacobs and Mace), as well as QIC and all existing contractors, and future planned procurement of major contractors.
- Plans and implement sustainability and environmental strategies and approaches in accordance with Qiddiya Sustainability and Environmental City Framework and Guidelines.
- Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas, leading in the fields of Environment and Sustainability.
- Leads on unusually complex sustainability and environmental problems and provides solutions that are highly creative, in coordination with site and engineering leads.
- Facilitates partnerships with key stakeholders/organizations impacted by the program.
- Assigns work to employees, oversees, and tracks the completion of work assignments.
- Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals; provides training and development; completes performance evaluations, conducts employee counseling, and takes corrective action as necessary.
- Prepares needed regular reports, plans, and work method statements.
- Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline with minimum 10 years’ experience in construction projects, specifically management experience across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Familiar with different environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA/EIA), including facets such as: flora, fauna, soil, terrestrial ecology, biodiversity, water, waste, noise and vibration, air quality,etc.
- Well-exposed to national regulations and environmental permitting procedures set up by NCEC, MWAN, MEWA, and NCVC.
- Advantageous to have extensive experience of significant PM/CM contracts.
- Certified as CEnv, LEED, BREEAM, Mostadam, MIEMA, or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.

**SKILLS/COMPETENCIES**:

- Demonstrated teamwork and management skills.
- Proven experience working within complex construction environments.
- Ability to follow through and clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting). Ability to interact with senior-level management. Ability to consult, motivate, and negotiate effectively with client groups, co-workers, employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and have the ability to prioritize.
- Strong Contractor Management skills
