**Your day to day**

Supports the Food and Beverage Service team by performing support duties including mise en place of food preparation, set up of functions, set up of food and beverage equipment, mini bar operations and assisting with the preparation of service. Promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group and the brand ethos. Key Requirements: Mise en Place and Food Preparation. Assist with receiving and storage of goods. Clean and maintain equipment and premises. Maintain hygienic standards and procedures. Assist with the preparation of functions and service. Assist with cellar operations. Assist with the preparation of an outlet for service including: o Cleaning of equipment o Sorting of stores equipment o Cleaning and maintaining glassware for service o Cleaning and maintain flatware for service o Cleaning and maintain china for service o Preparing waiter stations o Preparing buffet service o Preparing service equipment and materials o Assisting with table preparation Mini Bar duties including: o Filling mini-bar trolleys o Checking used stock against issued stock o Replacement of stock in accordance with mini-bar procedure o Recording of replacement of stock o Billing procedures in line with hotel policy o Ordering of mini-bar items o Storing of mini-bar items Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships. Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled. Self Management: Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook Comply with Company Grooming Standards Comply with Time and Attendance Policies Actively participate in training and development programs and maximise opportunities for self development Customer Service: Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including: Being attentive to Guests Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guests requests Anticipate Guests needs Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the Guest experience Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers Health, Safety and Security: Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety Familiarise yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager General: Comply with the Company’s Corporate Code of Conduct Familiarise yourself with the company values and model desired behaviours Perform tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals

**What we need from you**
- High School or Diploma. - Minimum one year of experience as Waiter. - Ability to work and communicate to multinational environment. - English Language is required.
