**Position Summary**:
The Mechanical Engineer under the direction of the Manager Engineering Support will provide mechanical engineering technical expertise to all mechanical and operating plant facilities of Maaden. Ensure plant mechanical equipment provides the accurate and quick real-time measurement data to the control systems to effectively respond to abnormalities and control operating parameters of the plant in order to comply with the Company’s strategies and operational priorities (profit, safety, reliability, and environmental requirements). The work is project-orientated and will be working on a number of projects, all at various different stages, at any given time. To develop a thorough understanding of Maaden’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provides Mechanical Engineer technical expertise within the Maaden’s Engineering Support Group.
- Prepares detailed design packages and bid packages for approved mechanical improvements.
- Coordinates Mechanical engineering activities with in-house and contract engineering resources.
- Ensures all relevant engineering standards and procedures are followed during project phase, plant operations, repairs and alterations by in-house and contract resources.
- Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established by Management.
- Supports the development and implementation of mechanical maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoots mechanical problems in the plant and proposes solutions.
- Meets regularly as a part of the maintenance and production team to coordinate activities and priorities.
- Coaches and develops team members to promote individual growth and promote internal succession in line with Saudization objectives.
- Provides input to the annual Engineering Support Group budget for each plant in conjunction with all concerned parties including the relevant plant manager.
- Provides input to the capital planning budget taking into account improvement opportunities and end of life replacement requirements.
- Identifies critical spare parts and specialized tools and ensures their availability in compliance with the reliability centered maintenance program.
- Supports the development of specifications and supplier lists for spare parts to enable ordering/reordering. Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned by management.

**Qualification & Experience**:

- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Min. 2 years of mechanical engineering hands-on experience in the Chemical, Petro-Chemical or Mining industry. 5 Years of leadership experience in a large-scale process industry and production environment. Project engineering experience is an asset.

- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English required,
- Self-starter with mínimal supervision for routine activities.
- Extensive computer skills in using Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) plus other software pertinent to the work performed would be advantageous.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and foster a cooperative team environment.
- Bi-lingual or multi-lingual is a plus.
- International work experience in remote camp environment.
