The Drilling Engineer position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is a crucial role in the energy and utilities industry, focused on planning, coordinating, and executing drilling operations. The job description includes the following responsibilities: Drilling Planning: Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to develop drilling plans, considering well objectives, formation characteristics, and safety requirements. Well Design: Design wellbore trajectories, casing programs, and cementing plans to ensure efficient and safe drilling operations. Equipment Selection and Procurement: Identify and specify drilling equipment and materials required for the drilling process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. Well Control: Implement well control measures to mitigate risks during drilling operations, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines. Performance Monitoring: Monitor drilling operations, collect and analyze data, and make recommendations for optimizing drilling efficiency and minimizing costs. Wellbore Stability: Assess and mitigate wellbore stability issues, such as wellbore collapse and formation damage, using engineering principles and techniques. Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to drilling teams on site, addressing any operational challenges and ensuring adherence to best practices. HSE Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and policies during all drilling activities. Cost Management: Monitor drilling costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and propose measures to optimize drilling operations while maintaining quality and safety standards. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical reports, drilling programs, and other documentation, maintaining accurate records of drilling activities and performance.

**Job Requirement**: Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, or a related field. Solid understanding of drilling engineering principles, techniques, and industry standards. Previous experience in drilling operations, preferably in the energy and utilities sector. Proficiency in drilling software and engineering tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with HSE regulations and best practices in the drilling industry. Ability to analyze data and interpret drilling performance indicators. Project management skills to oversee drilling projects and meet objectives. Willingness to work in remote locations and in a dynamic work environment.
