Role Purpose
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist for our P&DS team. The role of the Logistics Specialist is primarily supporting the delivery of services so that contract deadlines can be achieved.
This role will be working on a major mixed use scheme in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will be responsible for supporting the delivering of multiple building projects as part of a large program.

What this job involves
Coordinating in assisting in the planning set-up of the site so that the workforce, plant and materials can move around efficiently and safely.
Supporting the Logistics Manager in planning the use of key assets such as scaffolding, to adhere with the programme.
Supporting the site team in helping to organise routes through the site, off-loading points, and so on.
Coordinating the security of the site with the Logistics Manager, ensuring weak points of entry are noted and communicated.
Supporting in Traffic management duties as directed.
Coordinating the installation and managing welfare facilities and other site accommodation.
Coordinating the planned maintenance activities related to the lights within the site and lights remain on at all times.
Coordinating with contractors and subcontractors in accordance with the programme.
Coordinating the delivery of materials being brought to site as and when required.
Coordinating with the waste supplier in ensuring waste is kept to a minimum and that disposal procedures are implemented.
Supporting with the roll out and updates of the organisation’s health and safety policies are implemented and followed.
Supervising all issued PPE and coordinating the correct safety equipment such as PPE is available on site.
Coordinating the maintenance of fire points and equipment.
Coordinating the movement of information communication system around the site, such as site signage.
Supporting with the communication with project suppliers and managing all movements to and from the site.
Coordinating the planning and maximising the use of delivery vehicles.

Desired skills and experience for this
Degree Qualification is preferred but not essential.
Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential (CIOB).
Experience in managing on site logistics in the region.
Major international project experience is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in English.
International safety qualification / recognition an advantage but not essential.
