An Interntional Construction organization with high Presence in GCC is looking for a Senior Cost Control Engineers in its Head Office based in Jeddah and Dammam.

**Role Objective**:

- To prepare and monitor the jobs’ budget. To monitor and update ongoing costs of all jobs in coordination with the relevant departments. To provide feedback on the actual costs of jobs to the Cost Control Manager through periodic status reports.

Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:

- Coordinates with Planning and Construction in monitoring and updating of the Company’s Productivity (manpower and equipment).
- Forecasts and updates the cost to complete the projects.
- Studies the Contract Documents to become thoroughly acquainted with exact requirements and specifications of the project.
- Develops and prepares Job Budget by activity based on the Contract Documents and provides summarize of the budget by resources type (Materials, Equipment, Manpower, Subcontracts and Overheads).
- Performs and prepares comparison of cost between Job Budget and Job Estimate based on the Contract Documents.
- Reconciles with the operations team for any disagreements in the Job Budget.
- Highlights to the Cost Control Manager any costs that are not within the signed job budget.
- Assists in the preparation of the support documents of the project’s claim.
- Highlights potential areas where cost can be claimed to the Cost Control Manager, Contracts Administrator and Project Manager.
- Revises the Job Budget to accommodate the items that are missing from the approved Job Budget or for effects of Client Variation Orders.
- Assists the Planning Team in their preparation of Project’s Schedule Program (Resources Loading).
- Verifies quantities on Material Requisition Forms (MRF) received from sites to ensure that they are within the Job Budget.
- Verifies the rates in Local Purchased Order (LPO) received from procurement to ensure that they are within the Job Budget.
- Investigates the source and causes of over budget items and report to Cost Control Manager.
- Supervises the entry of delivery notes and subcontractors’ payment certificates on System.
- Verifies gross amount, deductions and retention of subcontractor’s payment certificates and the final account of the subcontractors.
- Assists in the preparation of Client Billing and Variations Orders when needed.
- Posts Client Billing (Submission and Certification), Variations Orders (Submission and Approvals) in System (assists in preparation when needed).
- Assists planning team in the preparation of manpower/equipment productivity reports.
- Assists the site quantity surveyor to perform final measurement for re measurement. contracts.
- Performs site visits to prepare and update the progress reports.
- Prepares and calculates the dummy cost of assigned jobs to conclude the actual cost of work performed.
- Prepares and calculates the forecasted cost to complete of assigned jobs in coordination with the project team.
- Highlights and discusses additional contingencies that will affect the completion of the assigned jobs with the Cost Control Manager.
- Prepares and issues monthly cost report of assigned jobs to the Cost Control Manager, Project Manager and business unit management.
- Prepares and issues weekly cost report of assigned job to the Project Manager
- Prepares and studies of cost comparisons, value engineering and feasibility as requested by the business unit management.
- Provides “Lessons Learned” concentrating on items that affects the cost of the project.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Architect, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical).

**Experience**:
Minimum of 11 years’ experience in construction Cost Control Roles.

**Technical Skills**:
Method of Measurements, computer skills (especially in Excel), communications skills in
English language (read, written and spoken), knowledge of Amana estimation sheet,
proficient in excel.

**Behavioral Skills**:
Planning and organizing, negotiation, problem solving, customer service, attention to
details, teamwork, process excellence.
