**The Position**

As the Health Safety and Environment Manager you will report to Head of HR, you will be driving the overall strategic direction and innovation. You will lead two dedicated department managers responsible for NN Health and NN Safety respectively.

You will be accountable for the initiatives that ensure that all Novo Nordisk employees continue to experience improvements in their physical and mental well-being. Moreover, you will collaborate with key stakeholders and peers to drive and align strategies, processes and innovative solutions that contribute to our ambition of becoming an employer for the future. You are anticipated to set a compelling agenda, inspiring and supporting relevant local initiatives and communities.

Your key responsibility will be to ensure that the team delivers on the strategic Health & Safety priorities, enabling our business to continuously improve within physical and mental well-being as well as safety.

**Qualifications**
- You hold a bachelor’s/master’s degree within health and safety with at least 8 years of relevant experience in HSE (health Safety and environment) management.
- You understand the challenge of developing and implementing comprehensive health safety and environment plans with cross-organisational and cultural initiatives, whilst at the same time supporting local management’s ability to keep the business running smoothly.
- It is a prerequisite that you speak and write English fluently. You work comfortably using MS Office.

- You are also expected to navigate the global organisation with ease whilst continuously strengthening stakeholder relations with business areas.
- You naturally take leadership, have a strategic mind-set combined with good business understanding and strong communication skills to express our ambition in a compelling manner.
- You have excellent interpersonal, collaborative and negotiation skills, combined with an ability to make decisions, set direction, and execute a strategy.
- You have as well, strong analytical skills, but at the same time you keep things simple and eliminate unnecessary complexity.
- You proactively identify problems and seek new and innovative solutions and continuously inspect and adapt to new fit-for-purpose ways of working.
