Business Development

As a Business Development specialist, your primary responsibility will be to drive business growth by identifying and securing speaking opportunities for the bureau's speakers. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with event organizers, corporations, and other potential clients to generate leads and secure bookings. Your goal will be to expand the bureau's client base, increase revenue, and position the bureau as a leading provider of exceptional speakers in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, target industries, and speaking opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry dynamics to identify opportunities for growth.
- Define clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and action plans to measure and track business development progress.
Lead Generation and Prospecting:
- Identify and qualify leads through various channels, including industry research, networking, referrals, and cold outreach.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and speaking engagements.
- Utilize CRM systems or other tools to track lead generation activities, interactions, and outcomes.
- Conduct effective prospecting and engage in targeted outreach to establish initial contact with potential clients.
Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with event organizers, corporations, associations, and other potential clients.
- Understand client needs, objectives, and event requirements to provide tailored solutions and speaker recommendations.
- Maintain regular communication with existing clients to foster long-term partnerships and identify opportunities for repeat business.
- Collaborate with speakers and internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful event delivery.
Proposal Development and Negotiation:
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, pitches, and presentations to potential clients.
- Collaborate with speakers and internal stakeholders to create customized proposals aligned with client requirements.
- Negotiate terms and contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Follow up on proposals and negotiate pricing, terms, and logistics to secure bookings.
Market Intelligence and Industry Engagement:
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging topics, and speaking opportunities relevant to the bureau's speakers.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients and stay updated on industry developments.
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to ensure the bureau's positioning aligns with market demands.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Track and report on sales activities, revenue targets, and business development metrics.
- Provide regular reports to management, highlighting sales performance, pipeline status, and business development insights.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Utilize CRM systems or other tools to manage and maintain accurate sales records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Upto 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably in the events or talent management industry.
- Strong understanding of the speaking industry, event landscape, and corporate market.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions and influence decision-makers.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems or sales tools to manage leads, contacts, and sales pipeline.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
**Salary**: Up to ﷼7,500.00 per month
