Responsible for Pulpit Operation & Scale cleaning from scale pit.

Major Responsibilities & Duties performed:

- Monitoring billet cutting operation as per preset billet length in automatic semi-automatic and assist Pulpit operator to cut billet in manual mode from control desk.
- Maintain proper pressure and flame of auto cutting torches.
- Changing cleaning Cutting Nozzle and torch as and when require.
- Cutting billet manually when auto cutter fails.
- Cutting samples crop end pieces and salvaging non-standard billets.
- Removal of short billet pieces in CCM area and transporting scrap yard.
- Removal / flushing of scale under roller table / scale pit during casting / turn round and down days.
- Skull cutting in apron chamber in case of breakout.
- Mill scale removal from scale pit time to time.
- All welding jobs in CCM area.
- Housekeeping inside / outside discharge pulpit and surrounding areas.

Other Responsibilities:

- Strictly following the safe working practices and safety rules of the organization as per HS&E Policy.
- Strictly Follow the Safety Instruction related to the Jobs
- Keep issued PPE in good and workable condition.
- Do not allow any unsafe PPE usage by staff report PPE damages to concerned authority
- Avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipments and welfare facilities.
- Should attend the safety training scheduled for them
- Have right to say” NO” to any unsafe work.
- SBT / On the Job training / Tool Box Talks to the Sub-ordinates
- STOP program awareness & implementation
- The employee will be work in General Shift / Shift Rota as per company requirement.
- Employee can be transfer to any production unit within company as per company requirement.
