**Position Summary**:
The position of **Spare Parts Planner/Specialist **is responsible for ensuring Maaden plants and mining facilities have readily available all required equipment, machinery, pumps/motors, spares and replacement parts, operational critical/hard-to-fine items and other supplies for use in the maintenance and repair of Maaden’s plants and equipment. This position is also responsible for day-to-day inventory management to ensure the computerized inventory system reflects real time inventory locations and transactions and for ordering, receiving, distributing and maintaining inventory. Good communication skills and close interaction with program planners, lab operators, engineers, line management and directors will be required, as well as close work with Procurement, Quality Engineering and Vendor Relations departments.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensuring Maaden plants and mining facilities have readily available all required equipment, machinery, pumps/motors, spares and replacement parts, operational critical/hard-to-fine items and other supplies for use in the maintenance and repair of Maaden’s plants and equipment.
- Ensure all required equipment, machinery, pumps & motors, spares & replacement parts, operational critical items and hard-to-find items have been identified, coded, cataloged and entered into Maaden computerize inventory tracking system.
- Conduct periodic reviews to identify new parts and part categories that need to be added to inventory tracking system.
- Assist in creating an approved vendor list optimizing the best purchase discounts and return programs.
- Maintain an adequate, but not excessive, inventory of spare parts and shop supplies to facilitate the repair and maintenance of Maaden’s plants and equipment
- Evaluate quantity of merchandise received and maintain records of all parts purchased and received.
- Research parts information through the Manufacture/Distributor Inventory, Parts e-System, and Electronic Parts Catalog, or any other means necessary to obtain requirements.
- Provides clear and accurate information with regard to special-order parts when ordering
- Ensure deliveries are promptly received and notify internal or external customer(s) accordingly
- Maintain parts storage area in a clean and well-organized fashion
- Secure warranty parts; properly tag and sort said parts; for warehouse group to promptly return to vendor source
- Submit orders to procurement & track parts for follow-up work/Stock Parts/supplies
- Perform inspections with warehousing group of all received orders upon deliveries.
- Handle warranty claims with vendors
- Weekly Stock reports submission to Management
- Monitor consignment stock based on consumption.
- Arrange for the proper return and replacement/repair of defective items under warranty, or wrongly ordered or delivered item/s in coordination with the Scheduling Supervisor and procurement.
- Complete regular physical inventory counts as required by company policy and meet established accuracy goals
- Compare invoices against requisitions to verify price, quality and quantity of merchandise received and reconcile any discrepancies with vendor.
- Maintain and update knowledge on all parts and products Administer and maintain records of all warranty parts returned

**Total Quality Management (TQM)**
- Ensures spare parts operation and order requests are 100% complete, accurate and proofed prior to submission to purchasing/procurement. Zero defects policy
- Assist and monitoring the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in order to measure the quality of performance and enable quality audits to be conducted against established standards.

**Minimum Education**:
Completion of Secondary (12 years education)

**Experience and Qualifications**:
2+ years of experience in inventory/material control in an ISO9001 or AS9100 certified environment
within the Petroleum, Chemical, Fertilizer/Mining or other Industrial Manufacturing organizations.
