**About the role**:
The primary role of QC Officer is to have a strong understanding of company goals and ensure that all activities are focus on delivery the highest quality standards. This is a permanent position in Kerry's Saudi Arabia office.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Perform routine QA tasks as outlined in the Quality instructions.
- Monitor on the general plant sanitation - ATP swabs, Allergen swabs and hygiene inspections.
- Conduct physical, chemical and microbiological tests including swab tests
- Critical Control Point (CCP) verification checks.
- Responsible for all aspects of quality control activities of WIP, in-process and finished products
- Input QA data into site system as part of positive release.
- Isolation of non-conforming stock as required.
- Liaise with other Departments on site to ensure continual improvement of products quality systems and productivity
- Assist in individual problem resolutions.
- Conduct shelf life studies for finished goods
- Keep and take care of QC retained samples and standard reference of product/ raw material
- Maintain the accuracy of the measuring and test equipment
- Arrange for external lab testing for product
- Participate in internal audits of the site quality system, following the direction of the Quality systems coordinator and assisting in routine GMP/bucket walks.
- Ensure the laboratory equipment and cleanliness are maintained.
- Daily calibration of equipment before testing
- Raise any non-conformances for out of spec products.
- Monitor & revise QA and control program results
- Ensure the causes of non-conforming products are investigated and procedures for non-recurrence and detection and elimination of incidents shall be implemented.
- Fill in QA records and feedback to QA Section Head on all non-conforming occurred in any inspection processes
- Ensure conformance with government regulations & policies
- Ensure Proficiency testing conducted as per defined frequency
- Drive the preparedness towards compliance & certification of ISO17025 (Chemical & Microbiological)
- Planning, implementing and maintaining product quality improvement programs
- Help in setting up company mandated quality and food safety systems and maintain continued certification to acquired Standards thereof
- Formulate and be in charge of a system for the recording, evaluation and processing of customer complaints on product quality
- Ensure the quality records demonstrate effective operation and analysis
- Assures the implementation of the QC procedures of the company to exceed all entire internal audits/external audits.
- Monitors the online operational quality day-to-day activities and to make sure GMP & EMP requirements are followed and implanted permanently.
- Follows up the obstacles or problems that have been occurred during the previous shift by root cause analysis and effective corrective action in order to minimize the impact and avoid a recurrence.
- Ensure the respect of sampling plan for (Retention, Micro, Sensory, trials, studies).
- Sets action plans in participation with other departments for any process deviation or GMP violation.
- Develops and maintain quality control monitoring culture of shop floor personnel.
- Follows/Develops all activities related to Integrated Pest Control management on site.
- Puts in place and follows metrology plan to ensure all instruments calibration are implanted and recorded as required in regular intervals.
- Ensures all required documents those are recorded by Production or QC Chemists to be compatible and complied with all Internal and external standards.
- Reports all shift activities related to quality or food safety to highlight the area of concerns and improvement.
- Reports Non-conforming Product Cases follow up with the proper action and disposition if needed.
