- Functions as the Lead Instructor for Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) courses under the direction of the Aviation Institute Senior Training Manager. Responsible for performing duties as a Safety Instructor, conducting academic instruction and hands-on performance training and evaluations to ensure student proficiency and adherence to academic standards. Responsible for maintaining Individual Grade book Folders.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
- A. Duties/responsibilities:

- ** 1.** The ALSE Instructor shall perform all above ALSE functions to include POI technical writing/courseware development and periodic revisions as necessary.

**2.** The Instructor shall train Customer and contractor Aviation selected personnel on annual ALSE requirements per US Army Aviation regulations and procedures.

**3.** Other duties as assigned and/or directed by management.

Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.- C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead Instructor of the Aviation Life Support Equipment courses of Instruction**Minimum Qualifications**
- A. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Military graduate of the US Army Aviation Life Support Equipment Course required. Contractor factory training or other equivalent training by industry shall be reviewed and approved or denied by the PCO and/or the GFR as a suitable substitute.
- B. Experience: Five (5) years’ prior experience serving as an Aviation Life Support Equipment Specialist. Former ALSE instructor preferred. Prior experience working on Army rotary wing aviation specific Aviation Life Support Equipment and experience working with desert and over-water ALSE gear preferred.

C. Specific knowledge, skills, and ability Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge and experience of rotary wing aviation operations inclusive of basic maintenance, and aviation logistics training. Proficiency in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation. Demonstrated past performance in the development of organizational plans, policies, and operational procedures. Ability to communicate both orally and written. Ability to effectively manage people in the supervision of staff and team members. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possess a valid driver’s license. DD214 required for military experience. Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, background checks, etc.
