Role Purpose

What this job involves
Accountable for day to day delivery of building design management tasks.
Develop the client design brief to suit the specific requirements of the project.
Manage the pre-contract phase and develop Scope of Works (SOW) to suit the specific requirements of the project.
Perform Pre-Qualification and Technical Evaluation reviews.
Undertake full design management and manage design teams in the development of design solutions to meet the client’s expectations and budget.
Undertake technical design reviews and perform Value Engineering throughout the design process.
Manage design through gateways in line with the contract and brief from the client.
Fully manage and handle local government approvals process.
Administer design contracts, proactively managing and confirming the compliance of contractors/consultants to the contract terms and conditions.
Produce design progress reports to suit relevant stages of the projects.
Monitor and report on the designer’s progress against the contract program.
Manage design consultant teams to ensure that the design is done in compliance with the contract.
Managing the design process, not personally responsible for delivering design or hands on producing design.

Degree Qualification is essential.
Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential.
Experience in managing Design & Build Contracts.
Experience in managing design for high rise building projects and 5 star Hotels in the region.
Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in English.
International safety qualification / recognition an advantage but not essential.
