As the Programme-based CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the design, deployment and operation of multi-tenant cloud services and driving the execution of strategic programs to enhance the functionality and offerings to drive customer satisfaction.
- Position is suited to someone with significant experience designing all aspects at scale multi-tenant private and/or public cloud plus not less than 5 years in a CTO role in a similar situation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Technical Strategy Development: Develop and articulate the technical strategy for the cloud services (primarily based upon VMware and Openstack), ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in the cloud capability (including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS catalogue capability)
- Cloud Management Portal (CMP) design, deployment and day 2 operations for all catalogue capabilities.
- Program Management: Define and execute strategic activities to design and deploy cloud services, including product development, infrastructure optimization, security, and scalability. Establish program goals, milestones, and metrics to measure success and ensure timely delivery working in conjunction with the Programme Manager.
- Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure: Collaborate with the client and third party engineering and operations teams to design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures. Provide advice and guidance on emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve the cloud infrastructure.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of technical professionals, including architects, engineers, and project managers. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promote knowledge sharing, and provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Vendor and Partnership Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners (including CISCO, Canonical, Pure, Super micro, Dell, Redhat etc.). Identify opportunities for collaboration and integration to enhance our cloud offerings.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of our cloud services by establishing robust security protocols, conducting regular audits, and implementing industry-standard security practices. Stay abreast of evolving security threats and recommend appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to understand customer needs and provide technical expertise during pre-sales engagements. Act as a technical advisor, providing guidance on the optimal use of the cloud services.
- Industry Thought Leadership: Represent Rackspace as a technical expert and thought leader. Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to cloud services.

**Qualifications**:

- Extensive experience in cloud computing primarily VMware and Openstack, with a focus on program management and technical leadership within a cloud provider or similar organization.
- Fluent Arabic speaker
- Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering complex multi-tenant cloud solutions, driving innovation, and implementing best practices.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and services, including but not limited to IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Deep understanding of program management methodologies, tools, and processes, with a demonstrated ability to drive multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Experience in leading and managing technical teams, fostering collaboration, and developing talent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align technical strategies with business objectives.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles, compliance frameworks, and industry standards.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in cloud computing are highly desirable.
