The Riyadh Metro Transit Consultants (RMTC has been formed to successfully provide Project & Construction Management (PMCM) services for the implementation on the cutting edge, world-class Riyadh Metro project:
The Riyadh Metro project will be successful if fire safety and protection is properly implemented. Through these, project needs the fire and life safety specialist.

Fire and Life Safety Specialist is involved in the fire safety protection program. They are performing risk analysis and checking for fire hazards, developing fire protection strategies that can be used for various facilities, consulting on technical requirements for code adherence, and preparing and maintaining fire safety systems. Reporting to Fire and Life Safety Manager.

**Main duties**:
Directly reporting to the Systems Lead and will work closely to other Systems team members.
- Review technical specifications for Control Centre Subsystems, design of the OCC layout, SCADA and Signaling, operating plans, test case scenarios delivered by the Design & Built Contractor.
- To evaluate design information to ensure conformity to industry best practice and ensure that client requirements are fulfilled.
- The Operations Control Center Specialist will also focus on SCADA. SCADA/OCC interfaces with other Metro Line and these subsystems: Traction Power, Low voltage power in stations, Public Address, Passenger Information System, Train Control, Lift, Escalators, Lighting, Station Access, Automatic Fare Collection, Telephone, Fire Alarm System and Tunnel Ventilation System.
- Some travel to other countries for witnessing and approving FAT Testing as required

**Key Responsibilities**

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

- Preparation of rules and procedures for Operations, CBTC systems and regulation.
- Requirements management including refinement and traceability
- System performance
- Analyze design options and specifications
- Development of safety/operational concept
- Lead the design review, from an operational and maintenance perceptive, of SCADA, MMIS and related sub-systems and more specifically lead the review of the SCADA design submitted by the Design & Built Contractor
- Test cases for implementation during the commissioning and acceptance of SCADA system.
- Review and approval of the operational safety case.
- Review OCC layout in accordance with the task analysis.
- Review the contract and the specification that the supplier has given to make sure that it matches the requirements.
- Reviewing the Factory Acceptance Test Procedure and Plans to ensure the compliance with the contract
- Meeting with the design and build contractors and the supplier to make sure all are in compliance and changes are within the scope of the supplier and the contractors.
- Facilitate and Participate to the Factory Acceptance Test of the SCADA system
- Preparing reports, request for more information and letters to the client for clarifications that may arise.
- Utilizing EDMS System (Aconex, PCM) for document control and making submittals to the contractor.
- Assisting other Systems Team Members on their subsystems as it interfaces with SCADA.
- Assist in preparation of Emergency Response Plan.

- With minimum of 15 years work experience in Metro Control Center Operations
- Extensive experience in Operations and Maintenance
- Large project experience in role of Systems Engineer
- Operation Control Center experience
- Rail/Metro industry background required
- Rail Systems, ERTMS, Asset Protection, Systems Engineering, Operations development and SCADA
- Background includes project experience in rail/metro industry
- Working knowledge of CBTC, MMIS, SCADA and Networking Functions
- Understand maintenance concept and RAMS requirement.
- Chartered Engineer preferred
