Department

You will be part of the Procurement Team who provide sustainable solutions for our customers based in Dammam City, Shati corniche. By joining this team, you will have a chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and challenges.

Purpose of the role:
Secures purchasing activities for the Mining Service division, using selected suppliers to ensure product supply and profitability.

Your responsibilities:
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manages purchasing based on specifications and according to predefined procedures and processes to ensure delivery capability.- Purchases products/items of expertise area at the right quality, characteristics, and volume.- Participates in the selection of suppliers by analysis and evaluation and handles operational relations and interfaces with selected suppliers to build and maintain close relationships with suppliers.- Monitors the operational performance of the selected suppliers in order to ensure that Flsmidth capacity to deliver is stable and long term.- Coordinates between the different departments to ensure timely procurement involvement and to ensure that all relevant information is available to Procurement.- Negotiates terms and conditions independently within the given framework.- Compiles specific reports and performs calculations to support Procurement.- Builds and maintains relationships with supplier to secure future delivery of products.- Ensures the group sourcing strategy is understood within the business unit and follows up on whether objectives are met.

What you Bring- Bachelor of Science/National Diploma Engineering/ CIPS accreditation or the equivalent.- At least 8 eight years’ experience in a purchasing role.- Solid technical background- Experience in matrix reporting structure.- Solid commercial and financial understanding.- Understanding of technical specification in purchase orders.- Planning and Organizing- Coping with Pressure and Setbacks- Persuading and Influencing- Promote teamwork and cooperative effort.- Help train and give guidance to other FLSmidth employees.- Maintain a clean, safe, and unobstructed work area.- Provide customers with the highest quality of products and service.What we offerAbout FLSmidth
