Bid Estimator

The Role
We are currently seeking a Bid Estimator based in Jeddah, KSA for an exciting opportunity with leading Integrated Facility Management Company. Key Responsibility: - To review draft tender documents to assist in the preparation of technical and commercial bids for Integrated Facility Management Projects. - Reporting to the Business Development Manager Role Objectives: - To review draft tender documents to ensure all systems and components of the tender are included - To prepare tender documentation queries to consultants/clients to confirm and collect any missing data including; MEP Asset Lists, Specialist Assets, detailed Scope of Work. - To prepare reports and supporting documents to submit to BD Manager to identify areas requiring more information to ensure the Company is positioned to win and secure bids - To develop tender cost summaries including equipment, consumables/materials and labour calculations (for both Hard & Soft Services) for final approval - To interpret & review project assets to identify any difference to RFP/Scope requirements and raise queries against anomalies - To interpret and follow Company tendering processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of tenders are met including relevant discipline codes and standards - To prepare specification documents to submit to vendors for quotations of cost/price of materials and equipment and evaluate same against tender specifications to include in final tender documentation - To build relationships and liaise with internal customers and external suppliers
**Requirements**:
**Qualifications and Relevant Experience Requirements**: - Degree in a Technical Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical) - IFM Tendering procedures - Extensive knowledge of costing IFM specific bids including the specialist supply chain - Discipline specific codes of practice such as ISO, BICSc, SFG20, NFPA, CIBSE etc - Advanced Microsoft user, particularly Excel - Preparing reports and records - Data analysis and tender review - RFP interpretation and analysis - Communication and interpersonal skills - Materials Costs and quantities - 5 years related work experience in a maintenance environment or trade, project management In return, our client offers a stable working environment and competitive salary and benefits package.
