Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **HSSE Manager - High Risk Activity **to join our team In this role you will get to **identify, design, implement the controls measures for high risk activities across one of the largest construction projects in the world.**

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Provides expertise and technical assistance to the program executive, project management teams and functional lead for the implementation of the ESHARP, company and program HSSE processes.
- Designs, leads and carries out assurance and performance improvement programs relating to high-risk activities.
- Designs standards, procedures, control measures and mitigations relating to life and environmental safety.
- Provides focused assurance relating to specific, high risk areas.
- Provides data, insight and analyses of contractor, project and program performance in dashboard and report formats and via presentations.
- Supports investigations
- Acts as technical lead for the program HSSE field staff
- Advises on and supports program/sector wide performance improvement programs
- Receives assignments in terms of broad objectives from the HSSE functional lead in conjunction with program and project management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience).

20+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety, including some supervisory experience. Professional certification preferred. Experience in assuring, managing, designing safe systems of work (etc) relating to construction processes including, but not limited to:

- Construction plant
- Temporary works
- Deep excavations
- Work at height
- Electricity
- Vehicle movements

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
ability to design, deploy and deliver risk-based audits and assurance activities. Strong focus on analytical skills, designing procedures/processes and carrying out investigations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provides assurance and investigation SME capacity to the program HSSE team relating specifically to activities that have been identified as high risk. Designs and delivers assurance activities, audits, provides analytical support, designs mitigations and control measures, provides training and coaching and collaborative leadership. Supports the program and functional leadership and HSSE core team.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Leads the development and implementation of risk-based program and project assurance and audit activity.
- Provides technical supervision of safety performance and programs.
- Reviews contractors on bid list with regard to safety performance, qualifications and programs.
- Conducts safety audits through review and analysis of performance of safety records and safety inspections of various offices and projects in compliance with ESHARP Management.
- Participates with the HSSE core team, project, and program management team to present the company safety policy and explain implementation on the project.
- Assists the Workers’ Compensation Analyst in coordinating medical care and case management of employees injured at company facilities.
- Reviews loss control reports from company insurance carriers and regulatory inspection agencies and confers with appropriate management representatives on compliance with regulations and citations.
- Represents the company at national safety conferences.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
