**Responsibilities**:

- Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the cost management and financial control aspects of the Steel Structural building project. He will ensure that all construction activities are carried out within the approved budget and timelines.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for the project, considering materials, labor, and equipment required for construction. Regularly review and update these estimates to track project budget adherence.
- Prepare tender documents and bills of quantities to solicit bids from contractors. Evaluate and compare bids to assist in contractor selection.
- Administer contracts and variations, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions. Address any contractual disputes or discrepancies that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality or safety standards.
- Provide regular cost reports and updates to project stakeholders, highlighting any deviations from the planned budget and proposing corrective actions.
- Identify potential risks related to cost overruns or delays and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and services at competitive prices without compromising quality standards. Ensure timely delivery of materials to the construction site to avoid project delays.
- Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to monitor expenditures, track variances, and identify areas for cost savings. Work closely with project managers to adjust budgets as needed.
- Maintain and update cash flow forecasts to ensure that project funds are allocated efficiently. Monitor payment milestones, invoices, and payments to contractors and suppliers.
- Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure that materials and workmanship meet specified standards and comply with contractual requirements. Address any quality issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding project costs, budgets, and financial reports. Provide regular updates and address any client concerns related to project finances.
- Evaluate and process change orders to accommodate variations in project scope, budget, or schedule. Negotiate change order terms with contractors and stakeholders to ensure fair and reasonable adjustments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, invoices, and other financial records. Ensure that all documentation is organized and easily accessible for audit purposes.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on steel structural buildings.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as RICS or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Proficient in cost estimating software, contract management tools, and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
- Ability to analyze complex cost data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for cost optimization.
