The opportunity

The role is in place to ensure a thorough understanding of their objectives and develop property-specific operating strategies that achieve the required standards.

They must be responsible for managing several operational contracts on behalf of the client, overseeing the implementation of all approved initiatives and programs, by managing and coordinating the efforts of the FM team (e.g., direct reports, service providers, contractors, and building employees) to achieve the goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and components including creating detailed design specifications, conducting feasibility studies, and selecting appropriate materials and technologies.
- Overseeing the entire lifecycle of mechanical systems projects, from conception to completion.
- Establishing project goals, develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Analyzing and solving complex mechanical system problems, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical guidance to the team.
- Conducting tests, simulations, and evaluations to verify the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in the field and implementing best practices to ensure system integrity and adherence to safety requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as electrical engineers, project managers, and technicians, to integrate mechanical systems with other components and ensure seamless operation.
- Preparing technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and manuals.
- Maintaining accurate records of system modifications, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within mechanical systems.
- Staying updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and research findings to enhance system performance, efficiency, and sustainability.

About you

You will have a degree qualification in mechanical engineering and be a member of a professional body. You have a strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards. You have proficiency in CAD software and mechanical design tools. You must be an Arabic speaker and a practicing Muslim, due to the project of this position.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
