Position Overview: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems within our healthcare projects. Your expertise in mechanical engineering and healthcare project experience will be crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of critical systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires technical proficiency and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

**Responsibilities**:

- Mechanical System Design: Develop detailed mechanical designs, including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, fire protection systems, and medical gas systems, adhering to local codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Design Optimization: Utilize engineering principles to optimize mechanical systems for energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness while meeting project requirements.
- Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall project design.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, calculations, drawings, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure mechanical designs and installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, conducting quality inspections and resolving any non-compliance issues.
- Cost Estimation: Contribute to the development of cost estimates and budgets for mechanical systems, collaborating with the project team to monitor costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Project Management Support: Assist the project management team in coordinating mechanical design activities, providing technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Construction Support: Provide on-site support during construction, working closely with contractors to address design-related queries, review shop drawings, and oversee the installation of mechanical systems.
- Technical Research and Innovation: Stay updated with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to enhance project outcomes.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure mechanical designs prioritize health and safety considerations, adhering to applicable regulations and promoting a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a focus on healthcare projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices related to healthcare facility design.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant design tools.
- Experience with HVAC design, plumbing design, fire protection systems, and medical gas systems in healthcare facilities.
- Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards related to healthcare facility design in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
