**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety protocols and procedures in compliance with European standards to safeguard the facility, guests, and staff.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the condition of the property and identify potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with department heads to establish and maintain effective maintenance schedules for all hotel facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
- Manage a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring their training and adherence to safety protocols and standards.
- Oversee the procurement of supplies, equipment, and services necessary for the maintenance and operation of the facility.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to execute repairs, renovations, and upgrades as needed, ensuring mínimal disruption to hotel operations.
- Monitor and analyze utility usage and implement energy-saving initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure readiness in the event of emergencies such as fire, natural disasters, or security threats.
- Stay informed about industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes related to facility management and safety, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in facility management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of implementing safety protocols and procedures in accordance with European standards.
- Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations, with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software.
