**JOB PURPOSE**
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Responsible to the Head of M&CA Surveillance and Compliance for coordinating and managing an integrated risk and safety based audit programme, facilitation of reviews, assuring compliance to regulatory and Company governance requirements.
- Responsible for the implementation of EN4179 and the overall administration of the NDT qualification and certification program.
- Develop/maintain a written practice for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel that meets the requirements of EN4179.
- Maintain overall control and cognizance over the NDT training program, including designating or approving qualified Examiners, instructors and outside agencies.
- Develop training course outlines and training material, and create examination questions and administer examinations.
- Prepare NDT procedures and work instructions appropriate to BAE Systems Saudi Arabia requirements
- Provide coordination and delivery of M&CA Continuing Airworthiness Assurance activities. Ensuring compliance and consistency across the projects, and monitoring the effectiveness, reviewing reporting for any impact on continuing airworthiness.
- Support and manage the M&CA approval and surveillance activities of BAE Systems Saudi Arabia maintenance, maintenance training and continuing airworthiness organisations to assure the business these Organisations comply with the mandated standards of the M&CA Framework and other requirements, e.g. ITAR
- Manage and conduct M&CA approval audits as required.
- Manage and conduct annual surveillance audits as required.
- Support the Head of M&CA Surveillance and Compliance in ensuring that the activities undertaken by the Directorate comply with the Directorate procedures and other business requirements.
- Maintain the Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness Directorate processes and procedures for KSA as required.
- Review M&CA approval audit recommendations.
- Support other M&CA activities as directed by the Head of M&CA Surveillance and Compliance
- Support M&CA related elements of the BAESSA Supplier Approval process as required.
- Review One-off Variation requests submitted by the Projects and provide recommendations when required.
- Review Expositions/Exposition updates submitted by the Projects as required.
- Develop Saudi Nationals with focus on aircraft maintenance regulation development and implementation.
- Support and manage assurance activities related to Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness Organisations (Part M, 145 & 147) and Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness products and services within the Business.
- Act on behalf of BAE Systems Saudi Arabia to ensure that the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) requirements of the applicable company and internationally recognised standards such as EN4179 are met

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**
- Leadership qualities and fortitude, with ability to communicate at all organisational levels, varying methodologies in an appropriate and clear manner
- Knowledge of the approved Part M, 145 and 147 organisations, expositions and associated regulations.
- Experience and knowledge of the written NDT instructions, codes, specifications and standards used by the BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
- Experience and knowledge of the materials, components, product technologies, NDT methods and NDT techniques used by BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
- Understanding of Royal Saudi Air Forces in particular the RSAF organisational structure and regulatory frameworks
- Knowledge of BAE Systems business in KSA
- Knowledge of Airworthiness and certification regulations
- Knowledge of platform and systems maintenance management activities.
- Ability to establish dependable relationships with the Customer and partners.
- Promote a culture of continuous development and improvement
- Ability to manage and deploy Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness skill sets.
- Understanding of EASA Part 145 and Part M or UK MOD MAOS regulations
- Qualified to Engineering Degree level or equivalent aircraft design and/or certification engineering qualification in a related field.
- Be certified under NAS410, EN 4179 or other recognized NDT qualification program as a Level 3 in one or more NDT methods
