**Position Title**: Procurement Officer

**Job Summary**:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the purchasing process, ensuring the company acquires goods and services needed for its operations at the best possible cost, quality, and delivery terms. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supplier Management**:

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous supply and resolve any issues that arise.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to assess adherence to contractual agreements.
- **Procurement Process**:

- Manage the end-to-end procurement process from requisition to payment.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and requisitions.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives and budgets.
- **Negotiation and Contract Management**:

- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
- Prepare and review contracts, ensuring all terms are clear and enforceable.
- Maintain and update records of all contracts and agreements.
- **Inventory and Logistics**:

- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement activities to avoid stockouts and overstock situations.
- Implement effective inventory management practices.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular audits of procurement processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- **Cost Control and Budgeting**:

- Develop and manage procurement budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce procurement expenses.
- Track and report on procurement spending and savings.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration**:

- Work closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, production, and quality control) to understand and meet their procurement needs.
- Provide regular updates to management on procurement activities, challenges, and opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- **Skills**:

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in procurement.
