Join our team at SHC as a Museums Subject Matter Expert (SME) Consultant and contribute to our mission of helping organizations in the cultural sector thrive. As a respected Management Consulting firm, we work closely with museums and heritage institutions to enhance their operations, visitor experiences, and overall impact.

As a Museums SME Consultant, you will leverage your extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of museums to provide strategic guidance and specialized insights to our clients. You will collaborate with project teams and clients to develop innovative solutions, drive change, and achieve excellence in museum practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the museum field
- Develop strategic recommendations and action plans tailored to each client's unique needs
- Assess and improve museum operations, workflows, and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative museum exhibits, educational programs, and events
- Support the implementation of digital initiatives and technologies to enhance museum experiences for training and innovation
- Assist clients in developing and implementing sustainability and revenue-generation strategies
- Guide and mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and best practices in museum practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and developments in the museum field
- Participate in conferences, seminars, and industry events to network and build relationships in the museum community

**Requirements**:

- +10 years of experience working in museums or related cultural institutions
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Museum Studies, Art History, Cultural Heritage Management, or a related field
- Proven expertise in museum operations, programming, and visitor experiences
- Strong understanding of best practices and emerging trends in the museum field
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead projects, manage client relationships, and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Experience in project management and ability to meet project deadlines and deliverables
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and other relevant software for data analysis, reporting, and presentations
- Passion for museums, cultural heritage, and the arts
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
