**Qualification**:
**1. Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Science related discipline**
**2. Professional Geologist Registration or eligible for registration (as a minimum) with a recognized professional membership**

**Experience**:
**1. 10 years’ experience as a Geologist of which 5 years in resource estimation**
**2. Extensive experience in open pit and/or underground mine geology**
**3. Extensive experience in structurally complex gold epithermal systems - desirable**
**4. Competent person signoff of Mineral Resources under JORC 2012 - desirable**
**5. International experience - desirable**

**Skills**:
**1. Advanced understanding of health and safety risks and safe operating procedures in operations [essential] in remote desert environment [desirable]**
**2. Senior first aid certificate [essential]**
**3. Demonstrable commitment to health and safety**
**4. Advanced understanding of resource modelling and industry best practices of resource modelling and geostatistics**
**5. Advanced working knowledge [five years] of targeted mineral deposit type**
**6. Computer literacy in Office suites including MS Project and Team as well as mining software e.g. Acquire, ArcGIS, ioGas, Leapfrog, Vulcan, MicroMine, Surpac, Datamine**
**7. Advanced competence in data management and QAQC**
**8. Advanced knowledge of ore control practices and ability to implement best industry standards if required**
**9. Business and Technical report writing**
**10. Advanced understanding of the reporting of Mineral Resources in accordance with JORC Code 2012 (desirable)**

**1. Develop and manage the mineral resource model and associated geological databases using industry standards and best practices**
**2. Provide resource and reserve technical assistance to mining engineering and mine geology**
**3. Develop, improve and manage the operational grade control block models**
**4. Develop, improve and implement industry standard resource estimation and geological modelling practices and procedures and assist with the transfer of skills to the Operations.**
**5. Lead the planning and execution of drilling programs that are in line with operational requirements**
**6. Develop drilling programs with the aim of continually improving the geological modelling, grade control processes and resource and estimation modelling.**
**7. Supervise the calibration and improvements of mineral resource and grade control block models based on reconciliation and production performance**
**8. Lead the development of drilling programs that add to the mineral resource, replenish ore reserve depletion and identified possible near mine targets.**
**9. Lead the ranking of near mine drilling targets and the strategic direction of any near mine exploration activities**
**10. Manage the analyses, interpretation and report of drilling programme results, data QAQC**
**11. Lead in the evaluation of near mine exploration targets including target ranking'**
**12. Provide senior level technical advice to the Chief Geologist, Principal Geologist, Geology Manager and Senior Director Geology**
**14. Ensure knowledge and compliance with applicable Ma'aden HSE codes, policies, procedures and practices**
