Bim Manager

**DUTIES **AND** **RESPONSIBILITIES**

Setup, implement and model architectural BIM projects using Revit and Dynamo.

Manage standards, drawings, families, and specification model data in a BIM environment.

Guide, assist and provide training for the project team where required

Produce and deliver submission drawings and 3D models in various formats including CAD, PDF, Revit, Navisworks and IFC

Develop strategies and workflows to overcome unique challenges in delivering Revit models of the client’s design ethos

Develop the process, perform, measure, and ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with local and international standards and project requirements during all Project stages.

Supervise and oversee the review, monitoring and reporting on the development of clash detection and resolution process and fully coordinated models with design leads.

Monitor and support the data collection process and validate models for Construction Operation Building Information Exchange (COBie) for the design stage data drop(s) as required.

Prepare validation reports for milestone BIM package submissions.

Oversee the validation and export of model geometry and data to schedules for internal design and commercial activities.

Support the quality department conducting audits and record non-conformance(s).

Leads the process of identifying the BIM needs of the clients Group for the Engineering and Technical Services Unit and develops a BIM strategy that is in line with the aspirations of the business and its needs.

Leads the development of a BIM Execution Plan and leads the procurement of any external services to enhance and implement the same. This includes the development of appropriate scopes of work, technical evaluation of the relevant proposals, prequalification and shortlisting of services providers, preparation of applicable evaluation criteria, etc

Leads the establishment of a BIM Office, if required, through the development of the organizational makeup, mandate, and function.

Management and administration of the relevant external engagements that may be required to deliver on the BIM Strategy.

Reviews all relevant deliverables provided by external service providers to ensure compliance with the scope of works of such engagements and ensure that the same meets the intent of the business.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Architecture/ Engineering (Civil, MEP, Structural, Built Environment IT, Environmental/Sustainability) or related technical/business field.

10+ years working with BIM in the built environment.

20+ years of related engineering and design management experience on large scale programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the wider MENA region;
Incumbent should have a broad general technical, project management, and business background.

Professional registration preferred (AIA, RIBA, CEng, PE, LEED or similar).

**PHYSICAL AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English

Demonstrate a strong proficiency in Revit and Dynamo with at least 10 years of using Revit on projects

Basic skills in Navisworks, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite as well as an understanding of Grasshopper and Maya

Proficiency to create custom Revit families and develop adaptive components.

Ability to pick up new software tools and custom software quickly

Ability to develop team workflows

An interest in BIM related developments, tools and software
