Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Configuration Management Specialist to join our team at Abacus Technology. As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will be responsible for providing asset management support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the baseline configuration of managed assets to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Document all device information, including manufacturer, model, serial number, cost, product lifecycles, software versions, location, and issuance details.
  • Investigate missing devices and conduct documentation as necessary.
  • Participate in the preparation and coordination of decommissioning documentation with the Base Equipment Custodian Officer or designated representative.
  • Securely store and track excess accountable equipment.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need 3+ years of experience in asset and inventory management, a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience with annual inventory of all accountable devices. You must also have a basic understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT domain.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
