Downstream Corrosion Engineering Specialist

EarthStream Global Limited Careers is seeking a highly skilled Downstream Corrosion Engineering Specialist to join their Consulting Services Department.

The successful candidate will be part of The Corrosion Technology Unit, providing technical consultations and maintaining standards on issues related to corrosion prediction, mitigation, and monitoring, hydro-testing, water treatment, chemical cleaning, mothballing, and equipment preservation, and Boiler Condition Assessment (BCA).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing central engineering consultancy focusing on upstream corrosion control, monitoring, and corrosion prediction, supporting operations and field operations for upstream facilities as needed.
  2. Consulting and reviewing capital project developments and engineering design packages.
  3. Designing, developing, and modifying company standards, procedures, and best practices, serving on international standards writing bodies and publishing technical papers as opportunities allow.
  4. Developing new technologies and applying for patents when appropriate.
  5. Providing training courses and mentoring developing engineers.
  6. Being a proactive team member in special teams and task forces, such as incident investigations, special audit teams, and value engineering teams.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have achieved a minimum of a Master's degree in Corrosion, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or other related sciences.

  1. At least 15 years of job-related experience in corrosion management expertise, preferably in field and corporate locations.
  2. Experience with corrosion prediction programs and use of corrosion software and the latest corrosion monitoring techniques is beneficial.
  3. Active membership in NACE or other international technical committees, with published technical papers.
