Job Description

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving excellence in Health, Safety, and Environment on a portfolio of mobility/railway projects in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement HSE Strategies
    • Set the strategic HSE direction for the programme to achieve its overall growth targets.
    • Develop Projects health, safety and Environmental Policies and Objectives.
    • Develop health, safety and Environmental key implementation strategies.
  • Lead HSE Audits and Compliance
    • Develop and implement health, safety and Environmental auditing processes.
    • Develop health, safety and Environmental Roles and Responsibilities.
    • Provide Code interpretation to team members as needed.
  • Manage HSE Documentation and Reporting
    • Develop requirements for health, safety and Environmental statistics reporting.
    • Develop health, safety and Environmental Deliverables Matrix.
    • Develop minimum health, safety and Environmental requirements for Suppliers/Contractors.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders
    • Collaborate on the development of the Supplier/Contractor Qualification Process.
    • Liaise with Document Management Group to ensure progressive assembly of project health, safety and environmental documentation.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Education and Certifications
    • Bachelor of Safety Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum 20 years of construction experience with progressively more responsibility in HSE Management, with experience on railway projects.
    • In-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental auditing techniques.
    • Demonstrated ability to set goals and organize resources.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work with people of diverse disciplines, backgrounds, and cultures.
    • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and be a self-starter.
