Job Summary

The Executive Academic Leader will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of academic policies and procedures, ensuring that they align with the school's vision and values.

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced educational leader who can work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to drive academic excellence and student achievement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Visionary Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance on academic matters, ensuring that the school's vision and values are reflected in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Curriculum Development: Lead the development and implementation of curriculum frameworks, ensuring that they meet the needs of all students and align with national and international standards.
  • Teaching and Learning: Foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning, promoting best practices and innovative approaches to education.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Develop and implement assessment strategies and reporting systems that provide accurate and meaningful feedback to students, parents, and teachers.
  • School Improvement: Contribute to the school's improvement agenda, identifying areas for development and implementing strategies to address them.
  • Staff Development: Support the professional development of teachers and staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality education.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community, promoting the school's values and mission.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience of leading teams and driving academic success in a school setting.
  • Educational Qualifications: A recognized degree in Education or a related field, and a Master's degree or Ph.D. would be an advantage.
  • Subject Expertise: Strong subject knowledge and expertise in education, preferably in a relevant subject area.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with educational technology and data analysis tools.
