As a Reinsurance Energy Line Lead at Willis Towers Watson, you will play a pivotal role in shaping cutting-edge reinsurance solutions for the energy sector. Working closely with industry leaders, you will develop strategies to manage complex risks across oil and gas, as well as renewable energy.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of reinsurance strategies for clients in the energy sector. This includes building strong relationships with clients, reinsurers, and internal teams to ensure effective program design and execution.

  • Analyse and assess energy sector risks to provide tailored solutions and advice on optimal reinsurance structures and coverage.
  • Oversee the placement of energy reinsurance programs to secure competitive pricing, terms, and coverage adequacy.
  • Stay informed on global energy market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to advise clients proactively.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in reinsurance, with a focus on the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of energy risks, reinsurance structures, and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships, negotiate with reinsurers, and drive business growth.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ARM, CPCU, CII) or willingness to pursue them.
