Director of Project Delivery and Operations

NEOM, a pioneering company in the health and wellbeing sector, seeks a seasoned Director to lead our Project Delivery and Operations function. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the project management office, ensuring successful project execution, and driving strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management Office (PMO) Leadership
    • Establish and lead the PMO for the Health & Wellbeing sector, defining the function's strategy, structure, processes, and governance framework.
    • Develop and implement project management methodologies, tools, and templates to drive consistency and efficiency in project execution.
    • Mentor and support project managers, ensuring adherence to project management standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Collaborate with sector leaders to develop project charters, objectives, timelines, and budgets for various initiatives within the Health & Wellbeing sector.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Conduct regular project status meetings, provide accurate and timely updates to stakeholders, and manage expectations regarding project timelines and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, executives, partners, and vendors.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing their concerns, resolving conflicts, and facilitating effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting
    • Develop and implement performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor project performance, identify trends, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
    • Prepare regular status reports, executive summaries, and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Policies, Processes and Procedures
    • Support the design and implementation of sector policies and procedures ensuring requirements are fulfilled while delivering high impact and enabling effective & efficient achievement of sector objectives.
    • Stimulate team discussion around focus areas and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, improvement of business processes and practices, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
  • People Management
    • Identify, recruit, and develop resources as required to drive the mandate of the PMO & Delivery function.
    • Inspire and manage a diverse team of professionals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, project management, life sciences, etc.).
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in project management, preferably within the health, wellbeing, or biotech sector.
  • Strong understanding of the health, wellbeing, and biotech industry, including industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve project goals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects.
