Job Description:

Total-TECH Co. is seeking a skilled Sr. Cloud and GCP Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, network security, or GCP security solutions.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will design and implement secure cloud architectures using Google Cloud Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, Cloud NAT, and Cloud Firewall.
  • They will configure and manage Cloud VPN for secure hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity.
  • Additionally, they will configure and optimize Cloud DNS security features to prevent DNS-based attacks.
  • The role also involves managing operations and ensuring compliance with SLA.
  • The engineer will implement & manage Google Cloud Armor & Cloud Flare WAF to protect applications from DDoS attacks, OWASP threats, and bot abuse.
  • They will configure VPC Service Controls to restrict data movement across Google Cloud services.
  • The candidate will monitor security events using Google Security Command Center, Chronicle SIEM, and Cloud Logging.
  • Furthermore, they will investigate security incidents and automate responses using Security Operations (SecOps) and SOAR solutions.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Google Cloud security services: Cloud Armor, Cloud Firewall, Cloud VPN, VPC Service Controls, and Cloud NAT.
  • Proficiency in Google Security Command Center, Chronicle SIEM, and Cloud Logging is required.
  • A strong knowledge of Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and security automation is essential.
  • The candidate should have experience securing Kubernetes workloads (GKE) and serverless environments (Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions).
  • Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting for security automation is desired.
  • The following certifications are preferred: Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer and Google Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
