Head Waiter Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Waiter to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Manage and supervise a team of waitstaff to ensure efficient and high-quality service is provided to guests.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor new staff members on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Work Environment: Create and maintain a positive work environment for the waitstaff, promoting teamwork and a strong work ethic.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for guests.
  • Guest Service: Greet and seat guests, taking their orders and providing recommendations on menu items.
  • Order Management: Ensure all food and beverage orders are accurately entered and delivered to guests in a timely manner.
  • Guest Complaints: Handle any guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner, working to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, communicating any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen team.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory and supplies for the waitstaff, ensuring adequate stock levels and placing orders as needed.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Head Waiter or captain in a high-end restaurant is required.
  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Food and Beverage Knowledge: Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine pairing and menu recommendations.
  • Multitasking: Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Language: Good in English is required, Arabic is a plus.
