Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Systems Engineer to join our team at Specialized Technical Services – STS. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Planning and Design

Create detailed technical implementation plans and designs for each project, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design, implementation, and disaster recovery plans.

Implementation and Installation

Install new products and apply performance and security procedures. Supervise the migration of existing solutions and apply necessary updates. Complete configuration and upgrading based on design and specifications of client proposals.

Testing, Documentation, and Reporting

Complete integration and testing of applications and systems. Maintain and submit accurate implementation reports, test reports, and other documents as required per project basis. Provide timely status reports to supervisors and project managers.

Technical Assistance and Consultation

Troubleshoot and resolve issues when contacted by clients, providing both on-site and remote support. Follow-up on major accounts in terms of technical support and proactive support service. Maintain applications, operating systems, and perform various preventative maintenance tasks for clients.

Knowledge Transfer and Training

Provide hands-on training to customers, including instructor-led classroom training. Analyze operational needs and propose technical solutions based on customer requirements.

Requirements
  1. Education

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any related IT field.

Experience

+6 years of experience in any IT-related field, with a strong focus on telecommunications and network engineering.

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with implementing/upgrading/troubleshooting PSTN voice gateways (MGCP, SIP, SCCP, PRI, FXO, and FXS). Experience with Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) and ESXi, VMware, vCenter, and vSphere implementation and basic configuration.

Cisco Certifications

CCIE or CCNP Collaboration certification, with a strong understanding of Cisco Unified Communication Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco Contact Center Express.

Language Skills

Very good command in both English and Arabic languages (writing, reading, and conversation).
