Job Summary

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer - Project Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will utilize your planning expertise within the Utility Sector of a large-scale project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints.
  • Review and assess project schedules to identify potential delays and develop corrective action plans.
  • Establish and implement methods for determining activity durations and developing quantity release and/or installation curves.
  • Review and approve invoice verification for payment based on cost-loaded schedules.
  • Develop and write schedule commentary for monthly progress reports and identify critical or potential impact on the schedule.
  • Prepare and present the Critical Items Action Report.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate, contractual, ethics, and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience in construction projects, specifically management experience across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Advantageous to have extensive experience of significant PM/CM contracts.
  • Scheduler Certified is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
  • Expert in Primavera P6, Power BI a plus, and the ability to analyze and report on project performance.
Preferred Skills
  • Motivated team player, with a desire to produce high-quality, accurate reports within established deadlines.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and management skills.
  • Proven experience of working within complex construction environments.
  • Ability to follow through and clearly deliver work instructions in a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization (dual reporting) and interact with senior-level management.
  • Strong Contractor Management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Contract management experience, familiarity with industry-standard tools such as Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, strong computer skills, good listening skills, inquisitive and curious, good verbal and written communication, both English and Arabic, coachable, good organizational and time management skills.
