Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team at Asterix Communications. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality parts and threaded connections.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure adherence to all safety rules and policies provided by the company.
  2. Produce and machine parts as per provided drawings and programs on CNC machines.
  3. Load and unload parts, operate controls, set offsets, and perform advanced edits.
  4. Inspect and verify that each thread and part is generated as per the provided drawing specification.
  5. Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining.
  6. Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.
  7. Follow all guidelines provided by the Supervisor.
  8. Maintain a neat and clean working environment.
  9. Adhere to state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program, and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Requirements
  1. Diploma in a relevant subject is preferred.
  2. Work experience of 1-3 years as a CNC Operator/Machinist in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  3. Ability to read CAD drawings.
  4. Experience in operating CNC Machines such as lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  5. Knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments.
  6. Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, and other accessories used on various machines.
  7. Experience in settings and tools selection.
  8. Must follow written and oral instructions.
  9. Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
  10. Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules as per company demand.
  11. Must possess basic math skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
