Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution: Ensure that engineering design, procurement, and construction of capital projects are executed in compliance with project contract requirements, including schedule, cost, and HSE standards.
  • Design and Engineering: Design and study mechanical modifications to oil and gas processing, oil and gas handling, and utilities facilities, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop project proposals, including defining project work scope and schedule requirements, and coordinate activities among proponents, contractors, and other parties to ensure construction progresses as planned.
  • Contractor Management: Manage contractor activities for detailed design drawings, material specifications, procurement, and construction bid packages, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Review the project schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned project's progress, and address below-par contractor performance, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, policies, and agreed work specifications, and resolve contractors' daily claims and complaints related to the assigned project's mechanical work during construction, ensuring HSE compliance.
  • Communication and Reporting: Report on projects and implement company initiatives during project execution, and provide work direction and guidance to project engineers and other professionals.
Requirements
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognized and approved program, with a higher degree preferred.
  • Experience: Have 10 years of related experience, preferably in the oil industry or a similar process industry, specifically in the engineering design and construction phase of projects.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Possess experience supporting both small- and large-scale capital projects, be familiar with International Engineering Codes and Standards, and demonstrate excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Personal Qualities: Have a dynamic attitude towards project improvements and cost savings, and preferably have experience in the GCC, Saudi Arabia, or with MatchaTalent.
