Job Title: Civil Engineer - Project Manager

Massadr Human Resources Services is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer - Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing Ma'aden projects related to Civil fields, ensuring successful project execution through EPCM/EPC and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop project proposals, defining project work scope and schedule requirements, and establishing the work scope, budget, and schedule.
  2. Plan, schedule, and provide work direction for preparation designs, reports, correspondence, and related data, ensuring efficiency, adequacy, and conformance to overall objectives.
  3. Formulate the design basis by collecting and analyzing Civil information and data, documenting against company policies and standards.
  4. Contribute to HAZOP/PHA studies, addressing issues identified in the engineering design phase, and ensuring implementation of company policies and standards.
  5. Review and interpret plans, specifications, material proposals, and construction methods to ensure compliance to contract requirements, national or international codes.
  6. Provide technical support and reviews Project Management documents through the project cycle, ensuring performing of required Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) according to Ma'aden Engineering Standards.
  7. Provide technical and coaching training for junior Civil engineers, setting objectives through KPIs.
  8. Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to design documents and contract documents based on Ma'aden Engineering Standards (MES), and assisting Project Manager with documentation controls, reports, deliverables, and analysis of project costs.
  9. Participate in construction activities, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and function test activities for new projects, assisting in plan preparation acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions, design changes, progress evaluations, and reports.
  10. Liaise with other project partners to achieve integrated planning across the whole programme, ensuring excellent team communication.
  11. Develop technical and management reports detailing project-related performance and contribution in terms of Civil activities, highlighting risks to the project and plans to minimize their impact.
Requirements:

College/University Degree in Civil Engineering, 10 years of experience including at least 5 years concentrated toward mining, petrochemical, construction, heavy or high technology industries capital projects. Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international Codes, Standards, and Specifications. Experience in Project risk management, consecutive experience in managing projects, and a practical understanding of safety and environmental fundamentals and application. Must be able to communicate fluently in oral and written English, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills, and the ability to multi-task various assignments and consistently meet project deadlines with positive organisational outcomes.

Knowledge of reading and using project control tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
