We are seeking a highly skilled Server Operations Manager to join our Shared Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining server infrastructure, including operating systems, applications, databases, virtualization, and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain server systems in physical and virtual environments.
  • Install, configure, and optimize operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, etc.), applications, and databases.
  • Administer virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, and storage solutions.
  • Develop and enforce server deployment standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and provide timely resolution. Conduct regular maintenance activities, such as applying patches and updates, optimizing system performance, and ensuring data security and integrity.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control on servers.
  • Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
  • Configure backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Research, test, and implement system patches, updates, and upgrades.
  • Assist in network, storage, and security administration as required.
  • Document architecture designs, configurations, and operational runbooks.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's systems and data from unauthorized access, viruses, and other threats.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of system administration experience in enterprise environments.
  • Expert proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management and collaborative abilities.
