About the Role

Grundfos is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, ensuring the smooth operation of our products, and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Calls: Execute service calls as instructed by the Service Supervisor or Service Coordinator, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of customer issues.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair pumps and controls, including trouble-shooting/assessment, inspection, reporting, cleaning, reassembly, and testing.
  • Commissioning and Training: Commission new pumps and pump sets/controls, and provide operator training to ensure customers can operate and maintain our products effectively.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit commissioning and service reports for review by the Service Supervisor.
  • Site Assessments: Report on installations and site conditions that impact the operation or lifetime of our products, identifying opportunities for new service business.
  • Training and Development: Assist in service training for customers, ensuring they have the necessary skills to operate and maintain our products.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Maintain a strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of pump systems and controls.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose systemic problems.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of pump systems, controls, and related technologies, including electrical, power controls, and mechanical motor systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a variety of environments, including workshops and on-site at construction/building/industrial facilities, with the ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to 20 kg.
