Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Valve Services Technician to join our team at SOES. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for independently handling activities related to valve overhauling, repair, assembly, and testing of manual, safety relief, and control valves, fittings, and perform coordinated work alongside a team of valve technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inspections, Checks & Overhauls: Conduct thorough visual inspections, checks, and condition assessments of all types of valves (on/off isolation, safety relief, and control valves). Disassemble, clean valve components, inspect, and repair/overhaul valves as per standard procedures. Maintain and replace all instruments (control system, electrical/pneumatic valves, thermocouples). Set up and test all types of valves and fittings. Complete valve assembly works (installation and extending said equipment on site at customers' premises) and calibrate all controlling equipment, controlling loop designing. Install, repair, and maintain mechanical regulating and controlling devices, such as electric meters, gas regulators, thermostats, safety and flow valves, and other mechanical governors.
  2. Disassemble and repair mechanical control devices or valves, such as regulators, thermostats, or hydrants, using power tools, hand tools, and cutting torches.
  3. Administration & Reporting: Responsible for reporting all findings, operations, and processing of each completed task (repair scope, inspection, test, and overhaul reports) to Supervisor.
  4. Customer Contact: Responsible for providing technical feedback about the job status to the Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Completion of a minimum of technical school, Diploma in Instrumentation & Control.
  • Knowledge of valve repair/overhaul/testing according to standards, API, ASME.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5-10 years relevant work experience in valve manufacturing/valve repair industry. Industry experience (technical services companies) beneficial.
Work Environment

This role will involve working in a workshop environment, with occasional site visits to customers' premises.
