About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for road, tunnel, highway, and bridge projects, overseeing all phases from planning to completion.
  • Lead the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project objectives.
  • Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance and deliverables.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of project teams, including engineers, designers, surveyors, and subcontractors, to ensure project success.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and other project partners, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing issues and risks in a timely manner to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, standards, and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status, budget, schedule, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery processes, incorporating new technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship within the project team, encouraging adherence to best practices and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on road, tunnel, highway, and bridge projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices for road, tunnel, highway, and bridge projects.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in project delivery.
