Job Description

Al Falak seeks a seasoned Project Director to oversee the Program Management Office (PMO) and ensure that programs and projects align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the PMO organization structure and requirements in line with project objectives.
  2. Lead and manage a team of PMO Project Leads and support staff, providing guidance and oversight to ensure successful project delivery.
  3. Manage multiple enterprise-level projects, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with various stakeholders and teams.
  4. Oversee the delegation of work to Project Leads and Program Managers, ensuring effective project execution.
  5. Establish annual performance targets for individuals and the team, conducting performance reviews as needed.
  6. Facilitate interaction with other departments, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
  7. Support the implementation of technology solutions and tools within the PMO.
  8. Oversee Lead Project Managers in delivering projects/programs on time, within scope, and on budget.
  9. Manage risk, issue, and change resolution processes, working with leaders to take corrective action as needed.
  10. Ensure compliance with policies and standards, providing executive leaders with critical information for informed decision-making.
  11. Continuously evaluate projects to ensure they meet company standards, adhere to budgets, and meet deadlines.
  12. Accurately document project creation, development, and execution, as well as project scope, budget, and justification.
  13. Report to the EPMO Vice President.

Requirements:

  1. 14+ years of Project Management experience.
  2. Knowledge of Engineering, Project, and Communication Management principles, practices, and procedures.
  3. Knowledge of project and change management methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches.
  4. Budget, cost, and profitability management skills.
  5. Knowledge of resource management tools.
  6. Strategic thinking, with the ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture.
  7. Developing skills in Team Leadership & Development, including mentoring, coaching, and transferring expertise to others.
  8. Facilitation, negotiation, and problem-resolution skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at senior levels.
  9. Ability to work in a diverse environment with people of differing backgrounds and nationalities.
  10. Strong attention to detail and technical skills.
  11. Excellent organizational and technical skills.
  12. Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
